Description
A stave-shell snare, hand-built in Italy.
The Sunset Boulevard is built from solid ash staves for a brighter, more open voice with a fast attack and big projection.
Instead of plies bent under pressure, the shell is made of solid wood staves standing vertically, bevelled and glued with a rounded joint that gives more contact surface between staves. The wood keeps its natural grain direction, so the shell vibrates freely: rich fundamentals, strong projection and a warm, focused crack. Every shell is finished by hand with water-based, solvent-free lacquer and brush-polished so the finish enters the smallest pores of the wood.
