Description

Warm, complex, hand-hammered

Apollo is the Wambooka professional series in B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin), the alloy of the great classic cymbals. Every piece is hand-hammered and individually lathed by our artisans, then left with a natural finish: the hammering stays visible and the sound stays alive. The voice is warm and rich, with controlled overtones, a fast response and a musical sustain that blends with the band instead of fighting it.

Key benefits

  • B20 bronze, hand-hammered and hand-lathed
  • Warm, complex tone with controlled overtones
  • Fast response and musical sustain, from a whisper to a full accent
  • Natural finish that ages beautifully
  • Matched by weight and pitch, so sets sound coherent

The models

  • Splash 8″, 10″, 12″: fast, bright accents with a short decay
  • Hi-Hat 14″ (pair): crisp chick, controllable open sound
  • Crash 16″, 18″: full, explosive accents with a warm tail
  • Crash Ride 19″: rides with definition, crashes with body
  • Ride 20″, 22″: clear stick definition, singing bell, controlled wash

Who it is for

Studio and live drummers in jazz, pop, funk, rock and anything in between who want a professional B20 voice at a fair price. For a brighter, louder rock cymbal see the 1994 series; for a darker, drier B25 voice see Obscura.
