Wambooka Obscura B25 Cymbals

Obscura is the B25 series for players who want their cymbals to sit inside the mix, not on top of it. Most professional cymbals are cast in B20 bronze (80% copper, 20% tin). Obscura uses B25, five points more tin, which gives a denser, more complex alloy: darker, drier, with a faster decay and a harmonic spectrum that leans toward the low mids. Each cymbal is hand-hammered and selectively lathed, then left with a raw, dark finish that lets the hammering show.

• Hi-Hat 14″ / 15″: firm, dry “chick”, dark open wash. Medium-thin top, medium-heavy bottom.
• Crash 16″ / 18″: dark explosion, medium-fast decay. A main crash for rock and metal, or the dark one in a brighter set.
• Crash Ride 19″: one cymbal for small stages, crashable with a defined ping.
• Ride 20″ / 22″: warm, defined ping over a controlled wash; raw, cutting bell for heavy patterns.
• Splash 8″ / 10″ / 12″: instant, trashy accents that never get harsh.
• Set 14/16/18/20: hi-hat pair, two crashes and a ride, tonally matched.
