California Sand is a thin, single-ply 7 mil coated head with a focused built-in damping system. Thanks to the white coating and high-quality film it gives warm, open tones with a bright attack and a controlled sustain. It is also our coated resonant head: use it on tom bottoms and bass drum fronts when clear resonants feel too bright.
